Wanna be twist up packaging

The sparkle and creaminess of this product was what drew me in. I was looking for a brown eyeliner pencil that I could use to tightline and waterline my eyes with, which means it has to be waterproof.

Which is why I chose this pencil from Holika Holika.

after water pat leaves nothing on the tissue

True to the claim on it’s packaging the eyeliner is actually very waterproof. I ran some small tests just to make sure. However it is not smudgeproof, although I did have to press decently hard in order to smudge it.

It was Great and all until 5 uses in…

I give it a ✿✿✿❀❀

Colors: I have shade 11 which is a dark golden brown color with gold flecks in it.

Pigmentation: This product for me is super pigmented and literally glides right onto my hand and lid.

Texture: The product glides like it’s creamy but when I touch it after applying it feels slightly waxy. (probs cause it’s waterproof) the flakes are slightly rough, which concerns me since I’m putting it so close to my eye, and if any sparkles fall into my eye it’s gonna hurt.

Packaging: Each pencil comes in a plastic pencil form with a cap on it. The packaging makes it seem as if the pencil is a twist up kind of product, however THAT IS A BIG FAT LIE. This pencil needs to be sharpened once your tip runs out.

THE TIP IS GONE

This annoys the CRAP out of me. First of all, I bought this pencil thinking that it was a twist up pencil which usually means that it’s no fuss and easy to use everyday, without me having to worry about sharpening them. But this pencil deliberately was made to look like it was twist up, with a separate section on the end of it and everything, YET they made it a sharpenable pencil… THE THING IS MADE OF PLASTIC and you want me to sharpen it? I hate sharpening pencils cause I feel like I’m wasting product. So I feel like I was scammed… it may have slightly been my fault for not researching more on it but STILL.

Final thoughts: Is this product worth buying? NO! Not for me at least. If you like sharpening plastic pencils well then you go right ahead, but the product can easily be replaced by many other waterproof eyeliners.

Afterthought:

HOLY CRAP I HATE THIS EYELINER NOW. Soooooooooo, I ATTEMPTED to sharpen it like I was supposed to once the tip became blunt. Key word is ATTEMPTED. The fricking pencil like shattered/ splintered on me, LIKE WHAT THE HELL I WAS SHARPENING YOU LIKE I WAS SUPPOSED TO AND YOU BREAK ON ME? Maybe my sharpener was bad? BUT STILL LIKE IT WAS REALLY HARD TO SHARPEN THE PENCIL AND THE PLASTIC LAYERING ON IT MAKES IT HARD TO TURN YOUR PENCIL IN THE SHARPENER, the whole idea of making this pencil plastic and then sharpenable was not very smart in my opinion. I change my rating to a 2/5 because at least I can still kind of use the product with and angled brush but now the pencil looks like crap, so not worth buying.
