Through several reviews online, youtube, and personally swatching the first Tartelette I knew that I didn’t want to own the first one, since it was patchy, chalky, and overly matte. HOWEVER, I fell in love with the second Tartelette palette with its pretty pink and gold packaging to the smoothest most pigmented shadows. There are also 3 shimmers in the otherwise matte palette which I love since all three shimmers are super different from each other giving you the ability to really create any look that you want.
Silly fact: Tiffany thinks the Tartelette in Bloom palette smells more like chocolate than the Too Faced chocolate Palettes :D
I give it a ✿✿✿✿✿

Pigmentation: These shadows are super ultra pigmented. There is no other way to describe them then super ultra pigmented. None of the 12 shadow choices in the palette fall short and all of them feel beautifully formulated and they apply drastically different from the first Tartelette palette (THANK GOD).
Texture: These shadows are extremely smooth and don’t give me a ton of fall out. The shimmers are very fine so they don’t really look glittery instead they give off an effect that looks like a sheen of color. You would think that the shadows would be super soft and breakable, since they apply so smoothly, but in reality the packed powder is decently hard. I’ve accidently dropped this palette a few times and had mini heart attacks <3 but my palette is still intact and not one shadow broke.
Application: A gentle tap into each shadow should give your lots and lots of product, so rarely should you need to swipe the shadows, and make sure that you tap off the excess shadow if you don’t want a super harsh amount of pigment.
Tip: If you’re using eye shadow primer with this palette you should definitely apply a thin layer of base color powder before you throw on the darker shadows. Since this product is so pigmented the eyeshadow primer sometimes makes the darker colors a little harder to blend.
Packaging: The Palette comes in a hard plastic rectangular case with a beautiful pink and purple cover that seems to be printed in flower petals. All the detailing for words are done in gold and purple which are Tart’s main colors and there is a very nicely sized mirror on the inside of the case that spans the whole lid, and each eyeshadow has it’s name right under it. With cute names that represent the spirit of all different kinds of people.
Final thoughts: Is this palette worth purchasing? 100% YES it’s pigmented, smooth, travel friendly, and it smells like chocolate. What more could a makeup addicted girl ask for.
